Does Solar Really Work in Your State?

“Yes, Solar really does work in your state, especially if you live in the south! ” Below you will find a short overview on why the South is great for solar .

Yes, Solar really does work in your state, especially if you live in the south! The eight Southeastern states are great locations for Solar arrays. It is simple, we have the 5′th best solar radiance levels (best sunlight ) in the country, right behind California and the high deserts of the US.. There are several added benefits to solar in the south, first, we do not get the extreme heat as Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona or parts of California. While they may get an hour more of sunshine a day, that heat limits the performance of the solar panels. The second important factor is we get rain on a somewhat regular basis, cleaning the dust, pollen and debris from the panels, improving their performance. Lastly, today’s solar panels and inverters are incredibly more efficient than products available 10 years ago, so as long as we have Daylight, most solar arrays will produce power, even on cloudy, hazy days.

Today, a technician from Georgia Power came. ... He checked the system and commented that everything was done right. He mentioned that he has seen quite a few installations and this was one of the best. He added that we were not drawing anything from the grid. Instead, Georgia Power was paying us. - Regards,R. Singh
Thanks for doing such a great job on our solar panels and solar fan.  You and your crew were very professional and I am extremely pleased with the way it turned out.  I am sorry you left before I could thank you, but there was no to stay just to say goodbye to me.  One question, what information do I need to claim this on my taxes to get the solar credit. - Barbara J. Henning, Lt. Col, United States Air Force Retired
Thanks for the pics. They look great! My system is great. Can't wait until the sun will be up longer to maximize my opportunities by utilizing the natural sun to provide power for my residence. Great job guys! - Andrew J. Whitmore
